Shelby Vogel

Forecaster Shelby Vogel is the newest member of the First Alert Weather Team.

Shelby grew up in Paducah, so she's known Panhandle weather her entire life. Her interest in weather came in her teen years when she started cloud watching with her dad and sister and storm chasing for the Paducah Volunteer Fire Department, where she saw her first tornado.

She is currently attending Mississippi State University to obtain her certification in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology.

In her free time, Shelby enjoys playing video games, photography (especially clouds and lightning), working on her novel and spending time with her husband and their three cats.
