Canion Cavazos
NewsChannel 10 Weekend Anchor and Reporter
Canion Cavazos was born and raised in Amarillo.
She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a B.S in Digital Communications and Media. In 2023, she was hired to be the 5pm and 10pm News Producer. After eight months of producing, she was promoted to a content creator.
Canion is now the weekend anchor and reporter. She is thrilled to take on this new role, and is dedicated to delivering accurate and compelling news content.
When Canion is not at the station, she enjoys riding horses, snowboarding, spending time with family and friends, going on adventures, and volunteering.
Canion is honored to be part of the Newschannel 10 family, and is looking forward to serving the Texas Panhandle. She knows working in the media industry is her lifelong career and can’t wait for the journey ahead.
