Austin Hedgcoth is an award-winning multimedia journalist who is excited to join the KXII 12 team and serve the Texoma community!

As a former associate producer for InvestigateTV, and a University of North Texas Mayborn School of Journalism alum, Austin strives to channel his passion for investigative journalism and creative solutions into powerful results for our region. His previous research and reporting have uncovered everything from government controversies and violations of public safety to environmental crises and fraud within national institutions.

Austin understands the impact of local journalism and looks forward to covering the stories—and the people—that matter each and every day with compassion, authenticity, and integrity.

In his spare time, Austin enjoys playing guitar, lifting weights, drawing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
